Big brother holding Baby Sister. He like to hold her for about 3.4 seconds then looks at me & says, "Hold him." He's good at loving her: laying his head on her tummy, and giving her her binki when she crys, and pushing her swin (before we got batteries).

Quietly watching the angels. Sooo sweet!!

Here's Sam & my tummy on September 22nd. Then three days later...

"Baby Sister" joined us on September 25th at about 10pm. We named her Eliza Marie. Sam has adjusted well & has been a trooper throughout the whole ordeal. And, yes, J.M. was present at the birth! He acutally spent the day roofing the add-on, then ended his day by helping his wife go through labor & delivery. He's a trooper, too. I'm so thankful for my sweet, little family.
Thank you to all of you, for your love & concern & help during this amazing experience! We're all home, safe & sound ...just a little tired.

Nothing says it's summer like fresh corn on the cob!

Yesterday I was setting the water in the back yard. A bicycle, belonging to our downstairs neighbors, was partially on the grass & getting wet, so I moved it to a different spot. As I began to do so, Sam informs me, "Dats not ours, Mama, okay?" I had to laugh outloud! He's such a joy to be with.

'Tiny Thunell number Two' is still nameless. Any suggestions? Yesterday she got the hiccups for the first time. When people ask what Sam thinks of being a big brother I tell them that he is either in denial or has no clue. I think he's starting to put things together, though. About 2 weeks ago Sam felt her kick for the first time. He looked up at me and smiled. Now when we ask what's in mama's tummy he either just smiles, or says, "Baby Sister".

My Birthday! Sam was more interested in eating that beautifully cut strawberry, than getting a family picture taken.

Fourth of July (actually it was the 5th)at the Hyrum Parade

Sam wanted to talk to Daddy first thing when he woke up. These brown eyes melt me... ALWAYS!

Between Nursery & rocking before bed, Sam has memorized the first verse of "I Am a Child of God". It's so cute I had to include this, it's just part of the verse, he's too interested in the camera.
